Brick Calculator
Estimate bricks needed for a wall using actual wall dimensions and editable brick size.
How this calculator works
The wall net area is wall length × height minus openings. Wall volume is then compared with the nominal brick module volume including mortar joints.
The final count includes the selected wastage allowance.
Example
For a 10 ft × 10 ft wall, the brick count depends on wall thickness, brick size, mortar joint and openings.
Source and assumption note
BIS building-material guidance lists 190 × 90 × 90 mm as a standard modular brick size. Actual purchased brick dimensions and mortar-joint thickness should be checked before ordering.

Frequently asked questions
Why include mortar-joint thickness?
Brick modules in masonry occupy brick size plus mortar joints, so joint thickness affects the estimated count.
Can I use non-modular bricks?
Yes. Replace the default brick dimensions with the actual brick size.
Should doors and windows be deducted?
Yes. Enter their combined opening area for a better estimate.
