Cement Sand Aggregate Calculator
Estimate concrete materials from wet concrete volume using a selected or custom cement-sand-aggregate ratio.
How this calculator works
The wet concrete volume is multiplied by the dry-volume factor. That dry volume is then divided according to the selected cement-sand-aggregate ratio.
Cement bags = Cement volume × Cement bulk density / Bag weight.
This is a quantity-estimation method, not a substitute for structural concrete mix design.
Example
For 1 m³ wet concrete at a 1:2:4 nominal ratio, the calculator distributes the estimated dry material volume into cement, sand and aggregate portions.
Source and assumption note
Bureau of Indian Standards material notes and cement standards commonly use a 50 kg cement bag. CalcSetu keeps bag weight editable where quantity conversion is involved.

Frequently asked questions
Why is a dry-volume factor used?
Loose dry ingredients occupy more volume than the compacted wet concrete. The factor is an estimating allowance and can be edited.
Is 1:2:4 suitable for every structural element?
No. Structural concrete should use the grade and mix design specified by the engineer.
Why is cement bag weight editable?
50 kg is common in India, but the field is editable so the calculator can match the actual bag size used.
